Diamond Anniversary

Last night, August 17th, the Camiri church had a celebration for Gene and Loraine Train, founders of the Christian School and church planters in Bolivia, to commemorate their Diamond wedding anniversary. Diamond, coming from the Greek word adamas which means unbreakable and enduring, is the traditional and modern symbol associated with the 60th year of marriage. It was a time of thanksgiving for the life, work and example of this remarkable couple of missionaries, teachers, mentors and spiritual parents of hundreds and hundreds of people who have had the God-given honor of knowing them through the church and school in Camiri.

Gene and Loraine, Your wedding may have been many years ago, but with God’s help the celebration continues to this day. Happy Wedding Anniversary!

  1. I was there for the celebration of their “Boda de Oro”. How exciting to celebrate again. A great example of faithfulness, both in their ministry and in their marriage.

  2. Wow,

60 years. That’s quite an accomplishment. God definitely meant them for each other.
Please give them our congratulations as I’m sure their marriage has been an inspiration to many who know them.
