Three Amigos

These three have been inseparable friends with each other and with me since 2004 when they were my students in 4th grade. Kenny and Nico were born in Christian families, but my joy was completed when Andres accepted the Lord, got baptized and is hungry for the Word of God.

Last year we created our “66-4 club” and started studying Emmaus correspondence courses. The name of our group is a significant date for us, but the meaning remains a mystery for the rest! We have fun saying that it is “confidential”. 🙂

Over the years I have had the privilege to spend time with them as a gang (in the good sense of the word) and individually.  We have shared many moments playing, travelling, rubbing and smoothing the rough edges in our characters, but above all learning to be disciples of Jesus. Little by little we continue absorbing the truth found only in the Bible and creating memories with our friendship that I hope will serve to help my three friends to keep going on for the Lord after they graduate from High School and to discover that “true friendship isn’t being inseparable, it’s being separated and nothing changes.”

    Atte. Efrén Durán
