Teacher’s Day

There is a day to celebrate everybody and every occasion in Bolivia. June 6th is Teacher’s Day.  We had, as customary, our program with folklore, poems, songs and more food than I can handle in one day: cake and Salteñas (baked beef pastries) in the morning, appetizers served during the afternoon program and a formal dinner in the evening. Gifts of appreciation, many hugs and a day off were fuel to my soul and body.
