Movie Theater

For three consecutive Saturdays we have applied I Thessalonians 5:21 in the Young People’s meeting of the Camiri church: “Test everything. Hold on to the good.”

The entertainment industry is a huge multi-millionaire business. It has been estimated that 25,000 to 30,000 movies are produced each year. We are being bombarded. We need to teach to screen what we watch on a screen 🙂  and have our minds active while we watch.

We have made trailers of three well-known movies and divided the crowd into three groups with a moderator, a secretary, a spokesman and a worksheet.  At the end, a conclusion was given.

Braveheart

What would you be willing to die for?

Read Acts 6:8-8:1

Have the courage to die for Jesus!

Ice Age

Here we took the character Scrat, the squirrel, and his tenacious chasing after a simple acorn. Read Joshua 1:9; Galatians 6:8-10 and Luke 18:1-10 and answer: What are things worth-insisting and chasing? Why?

“keep on doing good; God is with us”

Patch Adams

Can spirituality and good humor coexist?

Read Proverbs 17:22 and 15:15.

“Be personal, friendly and may our joy in the Lord be contagious”

“Test everything. Hold on to the good”

  1. ¡MAGNÍFICA MANERA DE ENSEÑAR! CREO QUE ES TAN PRÁCTICO Y SE LES QUEDA MAS LA ENSEÑANZA BÍBLICA PORQUE LO RELACIONAN, FÍJATE QUE ESE ES EL MÉTODO QUE UTILIZAN EN PRIMARIA Y LA NUEVA REFORMA EDUCATIVA: POR MEDIO DE EXPERIENCIA PROPIA PERO CON UN GUÍA (MAESTRO). DIOS LES SIGA GUIANDO SOBRE QUE PELÍCULAS VER. A MI ME ENCANTÓ ALICIA EN EL PAIS (LA NUEVA) TAMBIEN PUEDES SACAR VALORES (dale una miradita antes), ROBIN HOOD (se debe robar para hacer justicia?) etc dales una miradita. Te queremos mucho y pedimos a Dios te guarde del mal.

  2. Dear Andreas: Your comments on those three films are very praiseworthy. Cleave to that which is good, abhor that which is evil” Amen.
