Team of Chickadees

“Los Pajaritos” (Tiny Birds) is my new indoor soccer team. They’re in seventh grade this year and have been  “nuts about” my other soccer team “Los Patachueca” since they were much younger.

Every year there is a championship to celebrate the School anniversary; so they came to ask me to “coach” them, which it only means being with them for assistance and patronage. I am not their P.E. teacher.

The name for the team was given because their leader, little Josue, made a “chirp chirp” sound when he was my student in 4th grade; also that year they performed the “Chicken Dance” which Spanish lyrics say: “Little birds go to fly” and I regret not having one single picture of that event.

I am looking forward to a lot of fun and good games these days and in the years to come, Lord willing.

Times of  discipline, exercise, training, practice.    People, relationships, comradeship, fellowship, brotherhood, friendships.

May the Lord help me to be a good “ornithologist” and help these “Pajaritos”  get  ready to try their wings and see them soar as high as the eagles.
